Homemade Nutella

Homemade Nutella is a delightful and customizable version of the popular chocolate-hazelnut spread. By making it at home, you can control the ingredients and adjust the sweetness and intensity of flavors to your liking. Here's a recipe to make homemade Nutella:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup roasted hazelnuts
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (adjust according to your preferred sweetness)
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions:
- Start by roasting the hazelnuts. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the hazelnuts on a baking sheet in a single layer. Roast them for about 10-12 minutes, until they are fragrant and the skins start to crack. Stir them occasionally for even roasting. Allow the hazelnuts to cool.
- Once the hazelnuts have cooled, transfer them to a clean kitchen towel. Rub the hazelnuts in the towel to remove the skins. It's okay if some skin remains as it adds flavor and texture.
- In a food processor or blender, grind the roasted and peeled hazelnuts until they become a smooth paste. It may take a few minutes, and you may need to scrape down the sides of the processor or blender occasionally.
- Add the cocoa powder, powdered sugar, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the hazelnut paste in the processor or blender. Blend everything together until well combined and smooth. Adjust the sweetness by adding more powdered sugar if desired.
- Taste the homemade Nutella and adjust the flavors to your preference. You can add more cocoa powder for a richer chocolate flavor or more hazelnuts for a stronger nutty taste.
- Once you are satisfied with the consistency and taste, transfer the homemade Nutella to a clean jar or airtight container. Store it in a cool, dry place or in the refrigerator.
- Homemade Nutella can be spread on bread, used as a topping for pancakes or waffles, or enjoyed in various recipes.
Note: Homemade Nutella may have a slightly different texture and flavor compared to the store-bought version, but it will be equally delicious and customizable to your liking.
Enjoy your homemade Nutella, filled with the goodness of roasted hazelnuts and rich chocolate flavors!
