Tiramisu and The Best Espresso Martini

Tiramisu might be our family's favorite dessert. It's very easy to make if you follow these simple directions. I hope you liked this holiday episode. It was a nice change of pace versus our typical videos.

INGREDIENTS WITH GRAM AMOUNTS

FOR THE ESPRESSO MIXTURE

  • 6 ounces (150g) espresso - may not need it all
  • 2 ounces (80g) coffee liqueur - may not need it all

FOR THE MASCARPONE FILLING

  • 16 ounces (453g) mascarpone - room temperature
  • ¼ cup (55g) Marsala wine dolce
  • 6 large egg yolks - room temperature
  • ⅔ cup (165g) granulated sugar
  • 2 cups (475g) heavy whipping cream
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

FOR THE TIRAMISU ASSEMBLY

  • ¼ cup (22g) cocoa powder - unsweetened
  • 40 savoiardi ladyfingers

ESPRESSO MARTINI

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce vodka - unflavored
  • 1 ounce espresso - or strong coffee
  • 2 ounces coffee liqueur - such as Mr. Black
  • ¼ ounce simple syrup
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 peel lemon - for garnish
