Chocolate Snickerdoodles

Chocolate snickerdoodles are a warm and cozy twist on the classic. My recipe makes soft and thick cookies with NO mixer and NO chilling!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted (226g)
  • ¼ cup natural cocoa powder (25g)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (200g)
  • ½ cup light brown sugar, firmly packed (100g)
  • 1 large egg + 1 large egg yolk, room temperature preferred
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon

For rolling:

  • ½ cup granulated sugar (50g)
  • 1 Tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
