Best Bean Soup with Sausage
This is my favorite bean soup recipe. This bean and sausage soup is tasty and easy to prepare. I generally use cannellini and black beans for this dish, but today we're adding blackeyed peas to celebrate the new year. Ham or sausage is great in bean soup, and you don't have to use much; just a little meat adds a lot of flavor. If going meat-free, be sure to add lots of spice and maybe an extra veggie or two...beans need all the excitement they can get.
