Ingredients:
For the dough:
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
For the filling:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- Zest of 1 orange
- 1 cup chopped pecans

- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 2-3 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice

Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, salt, and yeast.
- In a small saucepan, heat the milk until warm (about 110°F or 43°C). Remove from heat and stir in the melted butter.
- Pour the milk mixture into the dry ingredients and add the eggs. Stir until a soft dough forms.
- Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic. Alternatively, you can use a stand mixer with a dough hook attachment for kneading.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a lightly floured surface into a 12x18-inch rectangle.
- Spread the softened butter evenly over the dough.
- In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, and orange zest. Sprinkle the mixture over the buttered dough, followed by the chopped pecans.
- Starting from one of the long sides, tightly roll up the dough into a log shape.
