Orange fritters

Orange fritters

Here is a recipe for delicious and easy-to-make orange fritters:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and orange zest.
  2. Add the orange juice, eggs, and melted butter to the bowl, and stir until a smooth batter forms.
  3. Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat.
  4. Using a tablespoon or a small cookie scoop, drop the batter into the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.
  5. Fry the fritters for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the fritters to a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.
  7. Repeat with the remaining batter until all of the fritters are cooked.
  8. Dust the orange fritters with powdered sugar while they are still warm.
  9. Serve the fritters as a sweet treat for breakfast or dessert, and enjoy!

Note: You can also add other flavors to the fritters, such as cinnamon, nutmeg, or vanilla extract, for a twist on the classic recipe.
