Banana Cream Pudding

Banana Cream Pudding

Banana cream pudding is a classic dessert made with layers of vanilla pudding, sliced bananas, and whipped cream or meringue. It can be served in a pie crust or in individual bowls, and is often topped with additional sliced bananas and whipped cream.

To make banana cream pudding, you will need:

Ingredients:

  • 1 (3.4 oz) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 2 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream, whipped
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pre-made graham cracker crust (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and cold milk until smooth. Allow the mixture to set for 5 minutes to thicken.
  2. Layer the sliced bananas in the bottom of a 9-inch pie crust (or individual bowls if you prefer). Pour the pudding over the bananas, smoothing it out with a spatula.
  3. Cover the pudding with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow it to set.
  4. When ready to serve, whip the heavy cream and vanilla extract together in a separate bowl until stiff peaks form. Spread the whipped cream over the top of the chilled pudding.
  5. Garnish with additional sliced bananas, if desired.
