Tuna Fish Kabab

Tuna fish kababs are a flavorful and nutritious option that can be enjoyed by seafood lovers. They are easy to make and are a great way to incorporate protein-rich tuna into your diet.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cans of tuna fish, drained
  • 1/2 cup boiled potatoes, mashed
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped bell peppers
  • 2 tablespoons chopped coriander (cilantro) leaves
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala (Indian spice blend)
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Bread crumbs or cornmeal for coating
  • Oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, add the drained tuna fish and mash it using a fork until it is well broken up.
  2. Add the mashed boiled potatoes, finely chopped onions, bell peppers, coriander leaves, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, garam masala, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
  3. Shape the mixture into small patties or kababs. You can make them round or oval-shaped, depending on your preference.
  4. Roll the kababs in bread crumbs or cornmeal to coat them evenly. This will give them a crispy texture when fried.
  5. Heat oil in a pan or skillet over medium heat for shallow frying. Alternatively, you can deep fry the kababs in oil for a more indulgent version.
  6. Carefully place the kababs in the hot oil and fry them until they turn golden brown and crispy on both sides. Flip them gently to ensure even cooking.
  7. Once the kababs are cooked to perfection, remove them from the pan and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb any excess oil.
  8. Serve the tuna fish kababs hot with mint chutney, yogurt dip, or any sauce of your choice. They can be enjoyed as an appetizer, snack, or as part of a meal.
