Chili Garlic Noodles
Chili garlic noodles are a delicious and flavorful Asian dish that combines noodles with spicy chili and aromatic garlic. Here's a basic recipe to make chili garlic noodles:
Ingredients:
- 8 ounces (225 grams) of noodles (such as spaghetti, udon, or rice noodles)
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 4-5 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons chili paste or chili sauce (adjust according to your spice preference)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Cook the noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic to the pan and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant and lightly golden.
- Add the chili paste or chili sauce to the pan and stir-fry for another 30 seconds.
- Add the cooked noodles to the pan and toss well to coat them evenly with the chili garlic mixture.
- In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), sugar, and sesame oil. Pour this sauce over the noodles and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until everything is well combined and heated through.
- Taste the noodles and adjust the seasoning if needed, adding more soy sauce or chili paste according to your preference.
- Remove the noodles from the heat and garnish with chopped green onions.
- Serve the chili garlic noodles hot as a main dish or as a side dish with your favorite Asian-inspired meal.
