Aam Panna
Aam Panna is a refreshing and tangy Indian drink made from raw mangoes. It is particularly popular during the summer season as it helps in preventing heat strokes and provides relief from the scorching heat. Aam Panna is known for its sweet and sour taste and is often enjoyed as a thirst-quencher and a natural coolant.
To make Aam Panna, follow this simple recipe:
Ingredients:
- 2 medium-sized raw mangoes
- 1/2 cup sugar (adjust according to taste)
- 1 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper powder
- Mint leaves for garnish
- Ice cubes
Instructions:
- Wash the raw mangoes and pressure cook them until they become soft and pulpy. Allow them to cool down.
- Once cooled, peel off the skin and remove the pulp from the mangoes. Discard the seeds.
- Place the mango pulp in a blender and blend it to obtain a smooth paste.
- In a saucepan, add sugar and a little water. Heat the mixture over low heat until the sugar dissolves completely and forms a syrup-like consistency.
- Remove the sugar syrup from the heat and let it cool.
- Once the sugar syrup has cooled down, add it to the mango pulp in the blender. Blend them together until well combined.
- Add roasted cumin powder, black salt, and black pepper powder to the blended mixture. Blend again to incorporate the flavors.
- Strain the Aam Panna mixture using a fine-mesh strainer to remove any fibers or lumps.
- Dilute the Aam Panna with water according to your desired consistency. You can add around 3-4 cups of water to the mixture.
- Taste the Aam Panna and adjust the sweetness and tanginess by adding more sugar or lemon juice if needed.
- Chill the Aam Panna in the refrigerator for a couple of hours.
- To serve, pour the chilled Aam Panna into glasses filled with ice cubes.
- Garnish each glass with fresh mint leaves.
Your refreshing Aam Panna is now ready to be enjoyed. Sip on this delightful beverage to beat the summer heat and experience the tangy flavors of raw mangoes.
