Coffee Chiffon Cake is a light and fluffy dessert with a delicious coffee flavor. Here's a recipe to make it at home:

Ingredients:

  • 6 egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup strong brewed coffee
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup cake flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 6 egg whites
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, vegetable oil, coffee, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, sift together the cake flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the egg yolk mixture, whisking until smooth.
  5. In another bowl, beat the egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form.
  6. Gradually add the sugar to the egg whites, beating until stiff peaks form.
  7. Gently fold the egg white mixture into the egg yolk mixture until just combined.
  8. Pour the batter into an ungreased 10-inch (25cm) chiffon cake pan.
  9. Bake the cake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Remove the cake from the oven and invert the pan onto a cooling rack, allowing the cake to cool upside down in the pan for at least 1 hour.
  11. Once the cake has cooled, run a knife around the edges of the pan to loosen it and carefully remove the cake from the pan.
  12. Slice and serve the coffee chiffon cake with whipped cream or fresh berries, if desired.
