Air fryer braided fritters: perfect for a soft and fragrant snack

Air fryer braided fritters are a delicious and healthier alternative to traditional deep-fried fritters. Here's a simple recipe you can try:

Ingredients:

  • 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuits
  • 1/2 cup apple pie filling
  • 1/4 cup cinnamon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter

Directions:

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (180°C).
  2. Open the can of refrigerated biscuits and separate them into individual biscuits.
  3. Roll out each biscuit on a lightly floured surface into a flat disc.
  4. Spoon some apple pie filling onto one half of each biscuit, leaving a 1/2-inch border around the edges.
  5. Fold the other half of each biscuit over the filling and pinch the edges to seal.
  6. Cut each biscuit in half lengthwise, leaving one end uncut so that the halves are still attached.
  7. Twist each half of the biscuit together to form a braided fritter.
  8. Dip each braided fritter into the melted butter and coat it evenly.
  9. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar over the braided fritters.
  10. Place the braided fritters in the air fryer basket, leaving some space between them.
  11. Cook the fritters for 5-7 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  12. Serve the air fryer braided fritters hot, dusted with powdered sugar or drizzled with caramel sauce, if desired.
