Air fryer braided fritters are a delicious and healthier alternative to traditional deep-fried fritters. Here's a simple recipe you can try:
Ingredients:
- 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuits
- 1/2 cup apple pie filling
- 1/4 cup cinnamon sugar
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
Directions:
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (180°C).
- Open the can of refrigerated biscuits and separate them into individual biscuits.
- Roll out each biscuit on a lightly floured surface into a flat disc.
- Spoon some apple pie filling onto one half of each biscuit, leaving a 1/2-inch border around the edges.
- Fold the other half of each biscuit over the filling and pinch the edges to seal.
- Cut each biscuit in half lengthwise, leaving one end uncut so that the halves are still attached.
- Twist each half of the biscuit together to form a braided fritter.
- Dip each braided fritter into the melted butter and coat it evenly.
- Sprinkle cinnamon sugar over the braided fritters.
- Place the braided fritters in the air fryer basket, leaving some space between them.
- Cook the fritters for 5-7 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
