Stuffed Cabbage Cake

Stuffed cabbage cake is a delicious and hearty meal that's perfect for any occasion. Here's a recipe to make it at home:
Ingredients:
- 1 head of cabbage
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 cup cooked white rice
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 can (14 oz.) diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup tomato paste
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Carefully add the whole head of cabbage and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the outer leaves are pliable enough to remove without tearing. Remove the cabbage from the water and set aside to cool.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic and cook until the onion is translucent.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up with a wooden spoon as it cooks.
- Stir in the cooked rice, salt, black pepper, and paprika.
- In a small bowl, mix together the diced tomatoes, tomato paste, and water.
- Grease a 9-inch springform pan with cooking spray or oil.
- Remove the outer leaves of the cabbage and layer them in the bottom of the pan, overlapping as needed.
- Spread a layer of the meat and rice mixture over the cabbage leaves.
- Spoon some of the tomato sauce over the meat mixture.
- Repeat the layering process, using up all of the meat and rice mixture and the tomato sauce. Finish with a layer of cabbage leaves on top.
- Cover the pan with foil and bake for 1 hour.
- After an hour, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the top is browned and crispy.
- Remove the pan from the oven and let the cabbage cake cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
