Chocolate Chip Banana Bars are a delicious and easy treat that make a great dessert or snack. Here's a recipe to make them at home:

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8-inch square baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mash the bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Add the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar to the bowl and mix well.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  8. Pour the batter into the greased baking pan and spread it out evenly.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bars comes out clean.
