Chocolate Chip Banana Bars are a delicious and easy treat that make a great dessert or snack. Here's a recipe to make them at home:
Ingredients:
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8-inch square baking pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, mash the bananas with a fork until smooth.
- Add the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar to the bowl and mix well.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the greased baking pan and spread it out evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bars comes out clean.
- Remove the pan from the oven and let the bars cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
