  • 1 head of romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1 small head of purple cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 1 large carrot, grated
  • 1/2 cup edamame beans, shelled
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro

For the dressing:

  • 3 tablespoons white miso paste
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup water


  1. In a large bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, thinly sliced purple cabbage, grated carrot, and shelled edamame beans.
  2. In a small saucepan, toast the sliced almonds over medium heat until golden brown, stirring frequently. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. In a blender or food processor, combine the white miso paste, rice vinegar, honey, toasted sesame oil, grated ginger, minced garlic, and water. Blend until smooth.
