Ingredients:

For the cake:

- 1 box chocolate cake mix, prepared according to package directions

- 1 can sweetened condensed milk

- 1 jar caramel sauce

- 1 container whipped topping

For the topping:

- 1/2 cup caramel sauce

- 1/2 cup chocolate chips

- 1/4 cup heavy cream

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare the chocolate cake mix according to the package directions.

2. Pour the cake batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

3. While the cake is baking, mix together the sweetened condensed milk and jar of caramel sauce in a small bowl.

4. Once the cake has finished baking, remove it from the oven and use a fork to poke holes all over the top of the cake.

5. Pour the caramel sauce mixture over the top of the cake, making sure to fill the holes.

6. Allow the cake to cool completely, then spread a layer of whipped topping over the top of the cake.

7. To make the topping, heat the caramel sauce and chocolate chips in a small saucepan over medium heat.

8. Once the chocolate chips have melted, stir in the heavy cream and mix until well combined.

9. Drizzle the chocolate caramel topping over the top of the cake.

10. Chill the cake in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving.
