Miso soup with cabbage and egg is a healthy and comforting soup that's easy to make. Here's a simple recipe:
Ingredients:
- 4 cups water
- 2 cups chopped cabbage
- 2 tbsp miso paste
- 1 green onion, thinly sliced
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- In a medium saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
- Add the chopped cabbage to the saucepan and reduce the heat to medium-low.
- Cover the saucepan and simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the miso paste and 1/4 cup of hot water until smooth.
- Add the miso paste mixture to the saucepan and stir to combine.
- Beat the egg in a small bowl.
- Slowly pour the beaten egg into the soup, stirring gently with a fork to create ribbons.
- Add the thinly sliced green onion, sesame oil, salt, and pepper to the soup.
- Stir to combine and let the soup simmer for another 1-2 minutes.
- Serve hot and enjoy your delicious and healthy miso soup with cabbage and egg!
Note: Do not let the soup boil after adding the miso paste, as this will reduce its flavor and nutritional value.
