Miso Soup with Cabbage and Egg

Miso soup with cabbage and egg is a healthy and comforting soup that's easy to make. Here's a simple recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups water
  • 2 cups chopped cabbage
  • 2 tbsp miso paste
  • 1 green onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
  2. Add the chopped cabbage to the saucepan and reduce the heat to medium-low.
  3. Cover the saucepan and simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the miso paste and 1/4 cup of hot water until smooth.
  5. Add the miso paste mixture to the saucepan and stir to combine.
  6. Beat the egg in a small bowl.
  7. Slowly pour the beaten egg into the soup, stirring gently with a fork to create ribbons.
  8. Add the thinly sliced green onion, sesame oil, salt, and pepper to the soup.
  9. Stir to combine and let the soup simmer for another 1-2 minutes.
  10. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious and healthy miso soup with cabbage and egg!

Note: Do not let the soup boil after adding the miso paste, as this will reduce its flavor and nutritional value.
