Fried sage is a simple and delicious appetizer or snack that's easy to make at home. Here's a quick recipe:

Ingredients:

  • Fresh sage leaves
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  2. Pour the milk into a separate bowl.
  3. Dip each sage leaf into the milk, then coat it in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep frying pan or pot over medium heat.
  5. Once the oil is hot, carefully place a few sage leaves into the oil and fry for 1-2 minutes, or until they are crispy and golden brown.
  6. Remove the sage leaves from the oil using a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel to drain any excess oil.
  7. Repeat with the remaining sage leaves until all are fried.
