Tofu Nori Rolls
Enjoy these delicious and nutritious Tofu Nori Rolls as a light lunch, snack, or party appetizer. They are packed with fresh vegetables and protein-rich tofu, making them a healthy and satisfying choice!
Ingredients:
- 4 sheets of nori seaweed
- 200 grams firm tofu, sliced into thin strips
- 1 small cucumber, julienned
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Wasabi paste (optional)
- Pickled ginger (optional)
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil to create a marinade. Add tofu slices to the marinade and let them sit for 10-15 minutes.
- While the tofu is marinating, prepare the vegetables. Julienne the cucumber and carrot into thin strips. Slice the avocado into thin slices.
- Once the tofu has marinated, heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Cook the tofu slices for 2-3 minutes on each side until they are lightly browned and slightly crispy. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Lay a sheet of nori seaweed on a clean surface, such as a bamboo sushi mat or cutting board, with the shiny side facing down.
- Wet your hands with water to prevent sticking, and take a handful of sushi rice and spread it evenly on the lower half of the nori sheet, leaving about an inch of space at the bottom.
- Arrange the tofu slices, cucumber, carrot, and avocado on top of the rice.
- Starting from the bottom, tightly roll the nori sheet over the fillings, using the sushi mat or your fingers to keep it compact. Moisten the top inch of the nori sheet with water to seal the roll.
- Repeat the process with the remaining nori sheets and ingredients.
- Using a sharp knife, carefully slice each roll into bite-sized pieces.
- Serve the Tofu Nori Rolls with soy sauce for dipping. You can also serve them with wasabi paste and pickled ginger for added flavor.
