Ingredients:

- 4-6 chicken thighs, bone-in and skin-on

- 1 large lemon, sliced

- 1 onion, sliced

- 4 garlic cloves, minced

- 1/2 cup chicken broth

- 1/2 cup white wine

- 2 tablespoons olive oil

- 2 tablespoons butter

- 1 teaspoon dried oregano

- Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper.

3. In a large oven-safe skillet or Dutch oven, heat the olive oil and butter over medium-high heat. Add the chicken thighs, skin-side down, and cook for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown. Flip the chicken thighs and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.

4. Remove the chicken thighs from the skillet and set aside.

5. In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes or until softened.

6. Add the minced garlic and dried oregano and cook for an additional minute.

7. Add the chicken broth, white wine, and sliced lemon to the skillet. Bring to a boil and let simmer for 2-3 minutes.

8. Return the chicken thighs to the skillet, skin-side up. Spoon some of the sauce over the chicken.

9. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the skin is crispy.

10. Serve the chicken hot, garnished with additional lemon slices and fresh herbs if desired.
