New Orleans native Charlie Andrews demonstrates how to make Fudge brownies from scratch. It consists of flour, sugar, cocoa powder (Dutch processed), lots of butter, lots of baking chocolate, coffee and extracts like dark chocolate. This recipe makes 12 to 15 brownies. These brownies have a rich chocolate flavor, and they are absolutely delicious. Hope you all will give this classic recipe a try.

Fudge brownies are a classic dessert that are rich, chocolatey, and perfect for satisfying a sweet tooth.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
  • 2 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  3. Add the granulated sugar to the melted butter and stir to combine.
  4. Add the eggs, one at a time, to the mixture, whisking well after each addition.
  5. Add the cocoa powder, salt, baking powder, and vanilla extract to the mixture and stir until smooth.
  6. Add the flour to the mixture and stir until just combined.
  7. Fold in the semisweet chocolate chips.
  8. Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan and spread it evenly.
  9. Bake the brownies for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes.
  11. Use a sharp knife to cut the brownies into squares.
  12. Serve the brownies warm or at room temperature.
