Fluffiest Omelet

Fluffiest Omelet

This recipe will teach you how to make a fluffy, light, and delicious omelet.

Ingredients:

  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon milk or cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • Optional fillings: shredded cheese, diced ham, chopped vegetables, fresh herbs

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk or cream, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add the butter and let it melt, swirling to coat the bottom of the pan.
  3. Once the butter is melted and bubbling, pour the egg mixture into the skillet.
  4. Using a spatula, gently lift and stir the eggs as they begin to set, allowing the uncooked eggs to flow to the bottom of the skillet.
  5. Continue cooking and stirring the eggs until they are mostly set but still slightly runny on top.
  6. Add any desired fillings to one side of the omelet.
  7. Using the spatula, fold the other side of the omelet over the fillings to create a half-moon shape.
  8. Cook the omelet for an additional 1-2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the eggs are cooked to your desired level of doneness.
  9. Slide the omelet onto a plate and serve hot.
