Fluffiest Omelet
This recipe will teach you how to make a fluffy, light, and delicious omelet.
Ingredients:
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon milk or cream
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- Optional fillings: shredded cheese, diced ham, chopped vegetables, fresh herbs
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk or cream, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add the butter and let it melt, swirling to coat the bottom of the pan.
- Once the butter is melted and bubbling, pour the egg mixture into the skillet.
- Using a spatula, gently lift and stir the eggs as they begin to set, allowing the uncooked eggs to flow to the bottom of the skillet.
- Continue cooking and stirring the eggs until they are mostly set but still slightly runny on top.
- Add any desired fillings to one side of the omelet.
- Using the spatula, fold the other side of the omelet over the fillings to create a half-moon shape.
- Cook the omelet for an additional 1-2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the eggs are cooked to your desired level of doneness.
- Slide the omelet onto a plate and serve hot.
