Chicken Fingers

Chicken Fingers

Chicken fingers are a popular finger food or appetizer made from boneless, skinless chicken breast or chicken tenderloins. They are typically cut into long, thin strips, resembling the shape of fingers, hence the name "chicken fingers." The chicken strips are often coated in a seasoned breading or batter and then deep-fried or baked until golden and crispy.

Chicken fingers are known for their crispy exterior and tender, juicy interior. They are often served with a variety of dipping sauces, such as ketchup, barbecue sauce, honey mustard, ranch dressing, or sweet and sour sauce. They are a popular choice for kids and adults alike and can be enjoyed as a snack, party appetizer, or as part of a main course.

A recipe for chicken fingers using the mentioned ingredients:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups chicken finger cut (strips of boneless chicken)
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon green chili paste
  • 1 tablespoon coriander paste
  • 1/4 cup yogurt
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tablespoons onion paste
  • Bread crumbs, as needed

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, add the chicken finger cuts and sprinkle salt over them. Mix well to evenly coat the chicken with salt. Let it sit for about 10 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, combine the ginger garlic paste, green chili paste, coriander paste, yogurt, egg yolk, and onion paste. Mix well to form a marinade.
  3. Add the chicken fingers to the marinade and mix until all the chicken pieces are well coated. Cover the bowl and let the chicken marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  4. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  5. Place the bread crumbs in a shallow dish or plate. Take each marinated chicken finger and coat it with bread crumbs, pressing gently to ensure the crumbs adhere to the chicken.
  6. Place the breaded chicken fingers on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each piece.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken fingers are golden brown and cooked through. Flip the chicken fingers halfway through the cooking time for even browning.
  8. Once cooked, remove the chicken fingers from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
  9. Serve the chicken fingers as an appetizer or main course. They can be enjoyed on their own or paired with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ketchup, barbecue sauce, or honey mustard.

These chicken fingers are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, making them a delicious and versatile dish. Enjoy!
