Peanut Butter in 10 Mins

Peanut Butter in 10 Mins

Making homemade peanut butter is quick and easy.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups roasted peanuts (unsalted)
  • 1-2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional, adjust according to taste)
  • 1-2 tablespoons oil (such as peanut oil, vegetable oil, or coconut oil)

Instructions:

  1. Place the roasted peanuts in a food processor or blender. If the peanuts are unsalted, you may add salt to taste at this stage.
  2. Process the peanuts on high speed for about 3-4 minutes, scraping down the sides occasionally. Initially, the peanuts will turn into a coarse, crumbly texture.
  3. Continue blending until the peanuts start to release their natural oils and become creamy. You may need to stop and scrape down the sides of the food processor or blender periodically.
  4. If desired, add honey or maple syrup for a touch of sweetness. Process again for a few seconds to incorporate the sweetener into the peanut butter.
  5. Gradually add oil, one tablespoon at a time, while the food processor or blender is running. This helps achieve a smooth and spreadable consistency. Adjust the amount of oil according to your desired thickness.
  6. Blend for an additional minute or until the peanut butter reaches your preferred consistency—smooth or slightly chunky.
  7. Taste the peanut butter and adjust the sweetness or saltiness if needed by adding more honey, maple syrup, or salt. Blend for a few more seconds to incorporate.
  8. Transfer the freshly made peanut butter to a clean, airtight container. It can be stored at room temperature for up to a week or in the refrigerator for longer shelf life.

Homemade peanut butter is a delicious and versatile spread that can be enjoyed on bread, toast, crackers, or used in various recipes. It's free from preservatives and additives, allowing you to customize the flavor and texture to your liking. Enjoy your homemade peanut butter within minutes!
