Restaurant Style Chinese Bhel
Restaurant-style Chinese Bhel is a fusion snack that combines the flavors of Indian Bhel Puri with Chinese ingredients and sauces. It's a delicious and crunchy dish that is full of tangy and spicy flavors.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups crispy noodles (fried noodles available in the market)
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1/2 cup finely chopped bell peppers (capsicum)
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
- 1/4 cup finely chopped spring onions
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped coriander leaves
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons tomato ketchup
- 1 tablespoon chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 tablespoon oil
- Salt to taste
- Crushed black pepper to taste
- Lemon wedges for garnish
Instructions:
- Heat oil in a pan or wok on medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for a minute until fragrant.
- Add shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, chopped bell peppers, and onions to the pan. Stir-fry the vegetables for a few minutes until they are slightly tender.
- In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, tomato ketchup, chili sauce, vinegar, salt, and crushed black pepper to make the sauce.
- Add the sauce to the pan and mix it well with the stir-fried vegetables. Cook for another minute to coat the vegetables with the sauce.
- Remove the pan from heat and let the mixture cool down slightly.
- In a large mixing bowl, add the crispy noodles and the cooked vegetable mixture. Toss everything together gently to combine.
- Garnish with chopped spring onions and coriander leaves.
- Squeeze some fresh lemon juice over the Chinese Bhel for added tanginess.
- Serve the Restaurant Style Chinese Bhel immediately as a snack or appetizer.
