Microwave chocolate cake

INGREDIENTS
- 1 orange (zest);
- 150g (1 cup) all-purpose flour;
- 100g (½ cup) sugar;
- 60g (⅔ cup) cocoa powder;
- 10g (2 tsp) baking powder;
- 90g (⅓ cup) butter, melted;
- 370ml (1 ½ cup) hot water;
- 30ml (2 tbsp) orange juice;
- 150g (1 cup) chocolate chips;
- 150ml (½ cup + 2 tbsp) full-fat cream.
METHOD
- In a large bowl whisk flour, cocoa, baking powder, and orange zest.
- Pour in melted butter, hot water, and orange juice. Whisk until smooth batter forms.
- Pour the batter into a 16cm round silicone pan and microwave for around 6 minutes at 400W. Check with a toothpick.
- Mix chocolate chips with cream and microwave for a minute, whisk until smooth ganache forms.
- Flip the cooked cake onto a plate and top with ganache and an orange slice.
