Creamy Mushroom Pasta

Creamy Mushroom Pasta

Creamy mushroom pasta is a delectable and comforting dish that combines the earthy flavors of mushrooms with a rich and creamy sauce.

Ingredients:

  • 8 ounces pasta (such as fettuccine, linguine, or your preferred type)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and sauté until they are golden brown and have released their moisture.
  4. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for an additional minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a simmer. Cook for a few minutes until the cream slightly thickens.
  6. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and continue cooking, stirring frequently, until the cheese has melted and the sauce becomes creamy.
  7. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste. Remember that Parmesan cheese can be salty, so taste before adding too much salt.
  8. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the creamy mushroom sauce and toss to coat the pasta evenly.
  9. Remove the skillet from the heat and sprinkle the chopped fresh parsley over the pasta.
  10. Serve the creamy mushroom pasta immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese and additional fresh parsley if desired.

You can enjoy this creamy mushroom pasta as a main course or as a side dish. Feel free to add sautéed vegetables, grilled chicken, or crispy bacon for extra flavor and texture. It's a versatile recipe that can be customized to suit your preferences and dietary needs.
