Creamy Mushroom Pasta
Creamy mushroom pasta is a delectable and comforting dish that combines the earthy flavors of mushrooms with a rich and creamy sauce.
Ingredients:
- 8 ounces pasta (such as fettuccine, linguine, or your preferred type)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and sauté until they are golden brown and have released their moisture.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a simmer. Cook for a few minutes until the cream slightly thickens.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and continue cooking, stirring frequently, until the cheese has melted and the sauce becomes creamy.
- Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste. Remember that Parmesan cheese can be salty, so taste before adding too much salt.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the creamy mushroom sauce and toss to coat the pasta evenly.
- Remove the skillet from the heat and sprinkle the chopped fresh parsley over the pasta.
- Serve the creamy mushroom pasta immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese and additional fresh parsley if desired.
