Peanut Butter Banana Brownies

Peanut Butter Banana Brownies

Peanut Butter Banana Brownies are a delicious and indulgent treat that combines the flavors of rich chocolate, creamy peanut butter, and ripe bananas.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 ripe banana, mashed
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • Additional peanut butter for swirling (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Allow it to cool slightly.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar. Mix well.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter and sugar mixture. Stir until fully incorporated.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
  7. In a small microwave-safe bowl, heat the peanut butter until it becomes soft and easily spreadable. This will make it easier to swirl into the brownie batter.
  8. Fold the mashed banana and chocolate chips (if using) into the brownie batter.
  9. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
  10. If desired, drop spoonfuls of the softened peanut butter onto the brownie batter. Use a knife or toothpick to swirl the peanut butter into the batter for a marbled effect.
  11. Bake the brownies in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Be careful not to overbake.
  12. Remove the brownies from the oven and allow them to cool in the baking dish before cutting into squares.

Enjoy the Peanut Butter Banana Brownies as a delicious dessert or snack. They are perfect for peanut butter and chocolate lovers, with the added sweetness and flavor of ripe bananas. Serve them with a glass of cold milk or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra treat!
