Cuba Libre
A classic from Havana, Cuba this simple concoction is the perfect thirst quencher for a hot day!
Create in 1900, this cocktail has stood the test of time.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 oz / 60 ml lightly aged rum
- 1 oz / 30 ml lime juice
- 3 oz / 90 ml cola
INSTRUCTIONS
- Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
- Pour the lightly aged rum over the ice. You can use a Cuban rum like Havana Club for an authentic taste, but any good quality lightly aged rum will work well.
- Squeeze the juice of one lime (approximately 1 oz / 30 ml) into the glass.
- Top the glass with cola, approximately 3 oz / 90 ml. You can adjust the amount of cola based on your preference for a stronger or milder taste.
- Stir gently with a spoon or a cocktail stirrer to mix all the ingredients together.
- Optionally, you can garnish the drink with a slice of lime or a lime wedge on the rim of the glass.
- Serve the Cuba Libre immediately and enjoy!
