Rosemary Bread in The Pan

Rosemary Bread in The Pan

Rosemary bread baked in a pan is a flavorful and aromatic loaf that is easy to make at home. It features the earthy and fragrant taste of rosemary combined with the softness of freshly baked bread.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped
  • 1 1/4 cups warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Extra olive oil for greasing the pan
  • Sprigs of fresh rosemary for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, instant yeast, salt, and finely chopped rosemary. Mix well to evenly distribute the ingredients.
  2. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the warm water and olive oil. Mix everything together until a dough forms.
  3. Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead it for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. Alternatively, you can use a stand mixer with a dough hook attachment to knead the dough.
  4. Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a greased bowl. Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
  5. Punch down the risen dough to release any air bubbles. Transfer it to a lightly floured surface and shape it into a loaf that fits the size of your pan. You can roll it into a rectangle and tightly roll it up or shape it into a round loaf.
  6. Grease a bread pan with olive oil. Place the shaped dough into the greased pan, seam side down. Cover the pan with a kitchen towel and let it rise for another 30-45 minutes.
  7. Meanwhile, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  8. Once the dough has risen again, gently brush the top with olive oil and garnish with sprigs of fresh rosemary, if desired.
  9. Bake the rosemary bread in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the bread sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
  10. Remove the bread from the pan and let it cool on a wire rack before slicing.

Serve the rosemary bread in the pan warm or at room temperature. It pairs well with soups, salads, or as a side to your favorite meals. Enjoy the aroma and flavor of freshly baked rosemary bread!
