Chartreuse Swizzle

The Chartreuse Swizzle is a refreshing and herbaceous cocktail that features Chartreuse, a French herbal liqueur. It's a vibrant drink with a balanced blend of sweet, sour, and herbal flavors.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 ounces green Chartreuse
  • 1 ounce lime juice
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup
  • 6-8 fresh mint leaves
  • Crushed ice
  • Angostura bitters (optional, for garnish)
  • Mint sprig (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. In a Collins glass or tall glass, add the fresh mint leaves and gently muddle them to release their aromas.
  2. Add the green Chartreuse, lime juice, and simple syrup to the glass.
  3. Fill the glass halfway with crushed ice.
  4. Take a swizzle stick (or a bar spoon) and place it in the glass. Rapidly twirl the swizzle stick between your hands, moving it up and down, to mix the ingredients and create a frost on the outside of the glass.
  5. Fill the glass with more crushed ice, creating a dome on top.
  6. If desired, add a few dashes of Angostura bitters on top of the crushed ice for added aroma and flavor.
  7. Garnish the drink with a sprig of fresh mint.
  8. Insert a straw into the glass and serve the Chartreuse Swizzle chilled.
