Chartreuse Swizzle
The Chartreuse Swizzle is a refreshing and herbaceous cocktail that features Chartreuse, a French herbal liqueur. It's a vibrant drink with a balanced blend of sweet, sour, and herbal flavors.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 ounces green Chartreuse
- 1 ounce lime juice
- 1/2 ounce simple syrup
- 6-8 fresh mint leaves
- Crushed ice
- Angostura bitters (optional, for garnish)
- Mint sprig (for garnish)
Instructions:
- In a Collins glass or tall glass, add the fresh mint leaves and gently muddle them to release their aromas.
- Add the green Chartreuse, lime juice, and simple syrup to the glass.
- Fill the glass halfway with crushed ice.
- Take a swizzle stick (or a bar spoon) and place it in the glass. Rapidly twirl the swizzle stick between your hands, moving it up and down, to mix the ingredients and create a frost on the outside of the glass.
- Fill the glass with more crushed ice, creating a dome on top.
- If desired, add a few dashes of Angostura bitters on top of the crushed ice for added aroma and flavor.
- Garnish the drink with a sprig of fresh mint.
- Insert a straw into the glass and serve the Chartreuse Swizzle chilled.
The Chartreuse Swizzle is a perfect cocktail to enjoy on a warm day or as a refreshing aperitif. Its bright green color and herbal notes make it an eye-catching and unique drink. Sip and savor the delightful flavors of this classic cocktail!
