Affogato

Coffee, dessert and your after dinner drink, all rolled into one. This is what you have when you're "too full for dessert"! The Italians are genius.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 shot (30 ml/1 oz) espresso (short black), strong and hot!
  • 1/2 shot (1 tbsp) frangelico, amaretto or other liquor of choice (kahlua, sambucca, rum, bailey's)
  • 1 large or 2 small(ish) scoops of vanilla gelato (traditional) or ice cream
  • Optional extras shown: chocolate grated, biscotti for dunking

DIRECTIONS

1. Pour hot coffee then liquor over ice cream. DIG IN!
