Veggie Sisig
Hey Foodies! This veggie sisig is my tasty take on the wildly popular Filipino dish! Made of tofu, mushrooms and spices! Just like its traditional counterpart, this veggie sisig is rich and savory, with subtle notes of heat and acidity!
Ingredients:
- 400g firm tofu (thawed and pressed after freezing)
- 1 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Air fry at 200°C for 10-12 minutes
Sauce:
- 2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp vegetarian oyster sauce
- 3-6 pcs calamansi juice or 1/2 lemon juice
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp water
Other Ingredients:
- 5 cloves garlic
- 1 white onion
- 1 red onion
- 1 stalk scallion
- 1 green chili
- 100g shiitake mushrooms
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp vegan mayonnaise
