Pastry Flowers With Pesto


  • 1 roll puff pastry
  • 60g (⅓ cup) of green pesto
  • 3 slices of cheese
  • 6 cherry tomatoes
  • Egg wash


1. Preheat the oven to 190°C/375°F.

2. Roll out the puff pastry and spread pesto sauce on one half of it. Fold the dough together and use a flower-shaped cookie cutter to cut out individual flowers.

3. Cut flowers out of the cheese slices.

4. Make indents on each pastry flower and place a slice of cheese on top. Brush with egg wash and place a cherry tomato into the center.

5. Bake for 20-25 minutes. serve topped with a basil leaf.
