Fritters with Slotted Spoon

INGREDIENTS

  • 320ml (1 1/3 cups) of milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp of salt
  • 4g (1 tsp) of baking powder
  • 320g (2 3/8 cups) of flour
  • 220g (1 cup) of sugar
  • 130ml (1/2 cup) of water
  • Lemon slice
  • 1 1/2 tbsp of honey
  • 150g of walnuts

METHOD

1. In a bowl mix together egg with salt, add in milk, sift in the flour, and baking powder. Let it rest for 20 minutes.

2. In a pot add way, lemon slice, boil on medium heat for 4 minutes, add in honey, and cook until melted. Add the dough mixture through the skimmer to the hot oil.

3. Fry until golden brown. Serve with walnuts and prepared syrup.
