Missi Roti Healthy Breakfast Recipe
Missi roti healthy and nutricious breakfast recipe. Roti made with Wheat flour and gram Flour and spices.
Serves: 3-4
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Ingredients
Fresh fenugreek leaves
- 1 cup (finely chopped) Whole wheat flour
- 2 cups Gram flour (besan)
- 1 cup Green chilli
- 1 (finely chopped) Onion
- 1 (medium, finely chopped) Carom seeds
- ½ tsp Red chilli powder
- ½ tsp Salt- as per taste Water
- ½ cup Oil or ghee- 3tbsp
Procedure
1. Mix wheat flour, gram flour, salt, fenugreek leaves, chilli, onion, carom seeds, red chilli powder and one teaspoon of oil in a wide-mouthed bowl.
2. Add little water as needed. Since the methi leaves also release water, add less water at first.
3. Knead this mixture into a semi soft dough.
4. Make medium sized balls out of this dough.
5. Roll out these balls into thin chapatis.
6. Heat a tawa and fry these chapatis in oil or ghee as required.
7. Cook on both sides and then transfer it to a plate.
8. Repeat the same procedure to make more rotis.
9. Stack in a roti basket and serve.
Methi missi roti is ready to be served. Serve it with your choice of curry, yogurt or pickle.
