Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2-4 tablespoons warm water (to adjust consistency)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Instructions:

  1. Combine Ingredients:
    • In a bowl, whisk together the peanut butter, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, honey or maple syrup, grated ginger, and minced garlic.
  2. Adjust Consistency:
    • Add warm water, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency. The sauce should be smooth and pourable.
  3. Adjust Seasoning:
    • Taste the sauce and adjust the flavor to your liking. If you prefer it sweeter, add more honey or maple syrup. If you want it spicier, add red pepper flakes.
  4. Serve:
    • Use the peanut sauce as a dipping sauce for spring rolls, satay skewers, or drizzle it over salads, noodles, or grilled vegetables.
  5. Store:
    • Store any unused peanut sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It can be reheated gently or served at room temperature.
