Boondi Ladoo Recipe | Boondi Laddu Recipe | Bondi Ka Ladoo with detailed photo and video recipe. Basically, an Indian Sweet laddu recipe prepared from the Boondi snack or besan or chickpea flour pearls. Deep-fried Boondi pearls are soaked in sugar syrup and shaped into round balls or an indian Ladoo recipe. It is a special and must-festival sweet that can be easily shared and served with friends and family.

Ingredients:

For Boondi:

  • 1 cup besan (gram flour)
  • 1/4 cup water (adjust as needed)
  • A pinch of orange food color (optional)
  • Ghee or oil for frying

For Sugar Syrup:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • A pinch of cardamom powder

Other Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons chopped nuts (cashews, almonds, pistachios)
  • A pinch of saffron strands (optional)
  • Ghee for greasing hands

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Boondi:
    • In a bowl, mix besan with water to make a smooth, lump-free batter. Add food color if using.
    • Heat ghee or oil in a pan for frying.
    • Use a boondi ladle or a perforated ladle to drop small droplets of batter into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown.
    • Drain excess oil and set aside.
  2. Make Sugar Syrup:
    • In a separate pan, combine sugar and water. Boil until it reaches a one-string consistency.
    • Add cardamom powder and saffron strands. Mix well.
  3. Combine Boondi and Sugar Syrup:
    • Pour the hot sugar syrup over the fried boondi. Mix gently to coat each boondi with syrup.
  4. Shape Ladoos:
    • Allow the mixture to cool slightly. Grease your hands with ghee.
    • Take a small portion of the mixture and shape it into a round ball (ladoo). Repeat for the remaining mixture.
  5. Add Nuts:
    • Press a chopped nut or two onto the top of each ladoo while shaping.
  6. Serve:
    • Once the ladoos have cooled completely and hardened, they are ready to be served.
