Avocado Toast

Avocado Toast is a delicious, high protein, high fiber, healthy breakfast. It is a savory breakfast that will keep your energy up until lunch! Including 3 ways to make it.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 2 slices of your favorite bread (sourdough, whole grain, etc.)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: poached or fried egg, red pepper flakes, cherry tomatoes, feta cheese, or a drizzle of balsamic glaze

Instructions:

  1. Toast the Bread:
    • Toast the slices of bread to your desired level of crispiness.
  2. Prepare the Avocado:
    • Cut the ripe avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl.
  3. Mash the Avocado:
    • Mash the avocado with a fork until you achieve your preferred level of creaminess. You can leave it slightly chunky or make it smoother.
  4. Season:
    • Add salt and pepper to taste. You can also customize with a dash of lemon juice or other seasonings if you like.
  5. Spread on Toast:
    • Spread the mashed avocado evenly over the toasted bread.
