Homemade Cinnabon Rolls with Chloe Bakes

This copycat recipe brings Cinnabon’s delicious specialty to your home while also saving you money! Chloe shows you how to bake a copycat Cinnabon cinnamon roll recipe with a sweet and tasty homemade icing.

Ingredients:

For the Dough:

  • 1 cup warm milk (about 110°F or 43°C)
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons (1 packet) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs

For the Filling:

  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, softened

For the Cream Cheese Frosting:

  • 6 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

For the Dough:

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and a pinch of sugar. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the yeast mixture, melted butter, sugar, salt, and eggs.
  3. Gradually add flour and knead until the dough is smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 1-2 hours).

For the Filling:

  1. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon.
  2. Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface. Spread the softened butter over the dough, and sprinkle the brown sugar-cinnamon mixture evenly.
  3. Roll the dough tightly from the long edge, and cut into 12 equal slices.
  4. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

For the Cream Cheese Frosting:

  1. In a bowl, beat together softened cream cheese, softened butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  2. Spread the cream cheese frosting over the warm cinnamon rolls.
