Sweet Cornbread

It’s buttery, it’s light, and it’s the perfect Thanksgiving side! Nicole shows you how to make a golden sweet cornbread for the upcoming holidays.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup yellow cornmeal
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup honey
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 9-inch square baking pan or a similar-sized skillet.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, melted butter, and honey until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix; it's okay if there are a few lumps.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan or skillet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the cornbread to cool in the pan for a few minutes before slicing.
