Veg Chowmein at home
Important tip for making Chowmein at home!
Ingredients:
- 200g chowmein noodles
- 2 cups mixed vegetables (carrots, bell peppers, cabbage, and snow peas), julienned
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon chili sauce (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Cook the chowmein noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a wok or large pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Add minced garlic and grated ginger. Sauté for a minute until fragrant.
- Add sliced onions and cook until they become translucent.
- Add julienned mixed vegetables to the pan. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, keeping the vegetables crisp.
- In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, chili sauce, vinegar, and sugar.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the vegetables and toss everything together.
- Add the cooked chowmein noodles to the pan. Toss the noodles with the vegetables and sauce until well combined.
- Adjust salt and spice levels according to your taste.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves if desired.
