Whether you're making a chocolate cream pie, a no-bake cheesecake, or any other delicious dessert, this homemade Oreo Pie Crust adds a delightful chocolatey touch to your creations.

Ingredients:

  • 24 Oreo cookies (with the filling)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Oreos:

  • Using a food processor, blender, or by placing the cookies in a sealed plastic bag and crushing them with a rolling pin, crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs. Include the cream filling; it adds flavor and helps bind the crust.

2. Combine with Melted Butter:

  • In a bowl, combine the Oreo crumbs with the melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated with butter.

3. Press into Pie Pan:

  • Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a pie or tart pan. Use the back of a spoon or the bottom of a measuring cup to compact the crumbs.

4. Chill:

  • Place the crust in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow it to set.

5. Optional: Pre-Bake (for No-Bake Pies):

  • If your pie recipe requires a pre-baked crust (common for no-bake pies), you can bake the crust in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes. Allow it to cool completely before adding your filling.

6. Fill and Enjoy:

  • Once the Oreo pie crust is set and, if needed, pre-baked, it's ready to be filled with your favorite pie or cheesecake filling.
