Easy Oreo Balls

Oreo Balls are a classic fudgy and chocolaty treat made with just three ingredients and a few simple steps. This no bake treat is a fantastic addition to any cookie table, bake sale, or snack time and even makes a great housewarming gift. Just one bite, and you’ll see why these rich truffle-like cookies are sure to be a favorite treat!
Ingredients:
- 1 package (14.3 ounces) Oreo cookies
- 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 12 ounces (about 2 cups) chocolate chips (dark, milk, or white chocolate)
- Optional: Crushed nuts, sprinkles, or additional crushed Oreo crumbs for coating
Instructions:
1. Crush Oreos:
- Using a food processor or by placing the cookies in a sealed plastic bag and crushing them with a rolling pin, crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs.
2. Mix Cream Cheese:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, crushed Oreo cookies, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
3. Form Balls:
- Scoop out portions of the mixture and roll them into bite-sized balls. Place the balls on a parchment-lined tray.
4. Chill:
- Place the tray in the refrigerator and let the Oreo balls chill for at least 30 minutes. This helps them firm up.
5. Melt Chocolate:
- In a microwave-safe bowl or using a double boiler, melt the chocolate chips until smooth.
6. Coat the Balls:
- Dip each chilled Oreo ball into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is completely coated. Use a fork to lift the coated ball, allowing excess chocolate to drip off.
7. Optional Toppings:
- While the chocolate is still wet, you can roll the coated balls in crushed nuts, sprinkles, or additional crushed Oreo crumbs for extra flavor and decoration.
8. Set:
- Place the coated Oreo balls back on the parchment-lined tray and let them set. You can speed up the setting process by placing them in the refrigerator.
9. Serve:
- Once the chocolate coating is firm, your Easy Oreo Balls are ready to be served!
