French Toast

This Easy French Toast recipe goes back to the basics with simple ingredients from your pantry. Your family will love this yummy breakfast staple.

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices of bread
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • Butter or cooking oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and add butter or oil.
  3. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, coating both sides evenly.
  4. Place the coated bread slices on the hot skillet and cook until golden brown on both sides (usually 2-3 minutes per side).
  5. Repeat for each slice of bread, adding more butter or oil to the skillet as needed.
  6. Once done, transfer the French toast to a plate.
  7. Serve with your favorite toppings such as maple syrup, powdered sugar, fresh fruit, or whipped cream.
