Zero oil Chicken Curry

Ingredients:

  • 500g boneless chicken, diced
  • 1 cup finely chopped onions
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 teaspoons red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander for garnish

Instructions:

Step 1: Marinating the Chicken In a bowl, combine diced chicken with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, and salt. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Step 2: Sautéing Onions In a non-stick pan over medium heat, dry-sauté finely chopped onions until they turn golden brown. Use a splash of water if needed to prevent sticking.

Step 3: Adding Tomatoes Add diced tomatoes to the sautéed onions. Cook until the tomatoes are soft and the mixture forms a thick paste.

Step 4: Incorporating Marinated Chicken Add the marinated chicken to the onion-tomato paste. Mix well and let it cook on low heat, covered, until the chicken is tender and cooked through.

Step 5: Seasoning Sprinkle garam masala and adjust salt according to taste. Stir to combine all the flavors.

Step 6: Garnishing and Serving Garnish the Zero Oil Chicken Curry with fresh coriander. Serve hot with rice or your favorite bread.
