Welcome to DAY 3 of 12 days of cooking tips! Learn the ultimate time-saving No-peel mashed potato hack that will revolutionize your cooking routine and give you perfectly creamy mashed potatoes without the hassle of peeling!
Ingredients:
- 4 large russet potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup whole milk, warmed
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
- Place the peeled and chopped potatoes in a large pot and cover them with cold water. Add a generous pinch of salt to the water.
- Bring the water to a boil, then reduce the heat to simmer and cook the potatoes until they are fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
- Mash the potatoes using a potato masher or a ricer until there are no lumps.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
- Gradually add the warm milk to the melted butter, stirring to combine.
- Pour the butter and milk mixture into the mashed potatoes, stirring until well combined.
- Season the mashed potatoes with salt and pepper to taste. Adjust the seasoning as needed.
- Continue mashing until you achieve your desired consistency. If the mashed potatoes seem too thick, you can add more warm milk in small increments.
- Optional: Garnish with chopped fresh parsley for added flavor and color.
