Sri Lankan Black Chicken Curry | How To Make Sri Lankan Black Chicken Curry | Chicken Kalupol Curry | Spicy Chicken Curry | Sri Lankan Chicken Curry | Sri Lankan Cuisine
Ingredients:
- 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 1/4 cup cooking oil
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 2 teaspoons ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 2 teaspoons red chili powder
- 1 tablespoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:
- Heat oil in a pan, sauté onions until golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste, sauté for 1-2 minutes.
- Add turmeric, red chili, coriander, and cumin powders. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add chicken, cook until it changes color.
- Add tomato puree, yogurt, and salt. Cook until oil separates.
- Add garam masala, simmer for 10-15 minutes until chicken is cooked.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Serve hot with rice or naan.
