Easy Chocolate Almond Toffee Guide
Indulge your sweet tooth with this straightforward Almond Toffee recipe. The combination of rich toffee, crunchy almonds, and luscious chocolate makes for a delightful treat!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped almonds, toasted
- 1 cup semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add sugar and salt, stirring continuously until the mixture reaches a golden brown color and has a toffee-like consistency. This usually takes about 10-15 minutes.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Quickly spread the hot toffee mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, creating an even layer. Be cautious, as the toffee will be extremely hot.
- Sprinkle the toasted almonds evenly over the toffee layer, gently pressing them into the surface.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in short bursts, stirring between each burst until smooth.
- Pour the melted chocolate over the almond-covered toffee, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
- Allow the toffee to cool completely, either at room temperature or by placing it in the refrigerator for faster setting.
- Once fully cooled and the chocolate has hardened, break the toffee into bite-sized pieces.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
