Ingredients:

  • 1 whole ham, bone-in (calories vary based on size and preparation)
  • Cloves (optional)
  • Brown sugar (optional)
  • Mustard (optional)
  • Pineapple slices (optional)
  • Maraschino cherries (optional)

Cooking Steps:

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).

Step 2: If desired, score the ham in a diamond pattern and stud it with cloves for added flavor.

Step 3: Place the ham on a rack in a roasting pan, ensuring there is space underneath for collecting juices.

Step 4: If glazing, mix brown sugar and mustard to create a glaze. Brush it over the ham.

Step 5: If desired, garnish the ham with pineapple slices and maraschino cherries, securing them with toothpicks.

Step 6: Cover the ham with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven. Baking times vary based on the size of the ham; refer to package instructions.

Step 7: During the last 30 minutes of baking, uncover the ham to allow it to brown.

Step 8: Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches at least 145°F (63°C).
